I also put everything in graphics at the lowest setting. In fact, the resolution not matching that of the desktop was me trying to extract more performance by decreasing the resolution. Well, the main menu runs well, I can change options and everything.

The game never goes beyond the loading screen. I only have to open the game load a save, create a new save or use any sort of editor. I even have a few cities with more than 100k of population and the game runs mostly fine.Ĭan you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

On Windows, however, I'm able to load saves, create new ones, use the asset editor, etc. The only way to be able to use the computer again is to use the physical power button to turn off the laptop by force. One thing I observed is that RAM usage during the loading screen increases, eventually starting to use swap. I googled a solution, tried several things, but none worked. I have even tried to close the game but couldn't, give how slow everything is. Then it gets progressively slower and the mouse freezes, then is able to move again, then freezes again, and it stays that way until the game and system are so slow and unresponsive both get pretty much unusable. But if I load a save or create a new one, it goes to the loading screen and stays there loading for a few minutes. Well, I start the game through Steam and after about a minute it or so the main menu appears. And since it has a version for Linux, I would very much prefer to play it on Linux, since it's where I do everything that's not gaming (I installed Windows just for gaming). However, I'm only able to play on Windows, since the game isn't playable on Linux. I have been playing Cities: Skylines since the begining of the year and I love it! I bought the game through Steam and have almost all the DLC's, including the latest one, Industries. Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
